forgot to mention....

that this little guy Crew decided to make his grand appearance into this world on his big brother Stockton's birthday! WOW, what are the odds? From the time my water broke and getting to the hospital, I had about an hour and a half to try and beat those odds, but it just wasn't enough time! I think Crew just wanted to be a birthday present for his brother!
Life is a surprise!

Only in the movies....

does a preggo lady stand up and claim "my water just broke!"

Welcome to the world Crew Timothy! Born March 25th, 2009 at 3:41 a.m.

A whopping 6 lbs. 6 oz.
18 inches long

cute as a button and a head full of hair

The story: A group of friends in my ward decided to have a girls night out Tuesday night. We went to Chili's for dinner. I was not having any contractions but did feel quite a bit of "pressure" pretty much the whole time. After eating yummy food until I thought I might possibly pop, we went to Jordan Landing to see "Duplicity." Soon after I sat down I felt some very mild contractions but nothing compared to the random contractions I'd been having the past week. So, I thought nothing of it. Continued watching the movie only to suddenly feel an actual "POP!" I sat there for a few minutes wondering what the POP was. I decided to adjust myself into a different position and it suddenly felt as though I had wet my pants. I decided to get up and go to the restroom to see if maybe I did wet my pants (c'mon people, I had a head pressing against my bladder) and as soon as I stood up, well.....GUSH! So needless to say my two good friends rushed me home. I got to the hospital about 10:45 p.m. and Crew was soon born! I cannot imagine my life without him. He is so sweet and perfect. I could just hold him and stare at him all day.

A few of my favorite things (right now)...

very random but all things I LOVE.

This is the ABSOLUTE best multi-cleaning product EVER. I use this for everything and I can't rave enough about it. Go buy it! Am I an awesome sales person or what? Seriously, it cleans amazing and it doesn't leave streaks or residue. Did I mention how much I love it? It can even get stained red punch off my white countertops.

This is my favorite drink currently and I LOVE IT! You taste this and you would never know it was sugar-free. Love the to go-singles and WOW! it's only a dollar. The Lemon-Berry is my favorite. Comes in many yummy flavors. Go buy it and try it, you just might like it.

Now this bad boy I just purchased on Ebay for my birthday last week. I LOVE IT! Still learning all the bells and whistles but boy does it do the works. I am excited to play with it and will make something cute to post with it as soon as I have time. I've been eyeing this for a LONG time and finally broke down and bought it. I'm not going to tell you to run out and buy this but if you are an avid scrapbooker and are looking at some kind of die-cutting investment, I strongly suggest this. The possibilities are endless! LOL!
And last but not least, my baby crib bedding. I saw this around Christmas and had to have it. I finally bought it too last week. This is for you Ruthie!

...and yes that is my scrapbooking schtuff in the background. This baby is taking over my scrapbook room (sniff, sniff) and I am still in the works of changing it all up. And that about sums up my favorite items for now. Enjoy!

Because 5 kids and 3 dogs are not enough....

Curtis decided last night to have another little puppy join our family.

Meet Owen.

Around midnight last night, he officially joined our family.

Kids....thrilled to death, Dad....thrilled to death, Mom....not so much!
Yes, he is adorable but let's not forget he still poops.
Let's not forget that we already have 7 growing mouths to feed, soon to be eight, and now NINE!

Let's not forget that puppies are wild and obnoxious.
Let's not forget that they are not a tax write off every year.

Let's not forget that they bark and need constant attention too.
Let's not forget that they chew up the friends' shoes that happen to be over jumping on the trampoline.

Let's not forget that they ruin your grass and each passing year you'll just have to pour more and more concrete to do away with all the dreadful grass.

And again, let's not forget the fact that they poop and then poop some more.
But hey, who cares, 5 kids and three dogs are just not enough!

One thing is for sure, Owen has lots of little people and furry friends to love him.

Miss Emma spent the whole day playing with him. Fischer and Owen have formed quite the attachment towards each other too.

Life is "Doggone" great!

OH BOY......

this boy, Fischer, can't wait for Tuesday to come! He wants me to take him over to the middle school just like all the other kids his age and their mothers are going to do. He wants me to register him for 7th grade. Yes, 7th grade! He wants to go to middle school or as it was called when I was his age, JUNIOR HIGH! I always tell my kids that just because their friends are doing it doesn't mean they have to. That is exactly what I told Fischer last week when he told me it was time for 7th grade registration. He didn't fall for it!

I cannot believe I am being put in this situation. I am not ready for this at all and how in the world did I get to this point in my life? When you deliver these adorable little babies in the hospital, they don't tell you that one day before you know it, you'll be enrolling them in JUNIOR HIGH! Do you all know what goes on in middle school? If you are unaware, I will not spoil the next however many years before your child enters the 7th grade. I'm sure you can cringe and remember what went on when you were in middle school but times have changed my friends, and not for the better. Trust me, my sister-in-law is a teacher and I couldn't believe the things she told me about 6th grade.

So, is now a good time to start home-schooling? Will I be able to figure out and understand the math they are supposed to be doing even though I failed miserably at it? Will he drive me crazy being home all day? How will I deal with the constant eye roll I get every few seconds? Are we too similar personalities that we'll just butt heads and drive each other more insane? hmmm.....

I'm thinking I may have to take a huge leap of faith and let this happen. As scary as it seems, I think I may have to let him take on this crazy experience. How can I deprive him of all the silly things he is so excited for-lockers, vending machines, 7 class periods, girls, running for student body officer? Please keep your fingers crossed for me and when you come to this point in your life, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Life is scary!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY....

to the world's greatest MOM! And you thought she belonged to you! Sorry to disappoint friends, but she belongs to me! Today she is 51 years young! WOW! I don't have a picture to post of her but she is pretty darn cute! Here are the top 5 reasons why she is the greatest -in no particular order:

1. If she won the lottery or inherited mucho money, she would make sure all of her children's needs & wants were taken care of first. Then if there was any money left over, she might buy herself a cute purse or something. She always puts her needs/wants last.

2. She is hilarious. She can make a whole room of people laugh til' they cry. She is great to have around in a boring situation or crowd. Everyone loves to be around her because she is so funny. She is very quick-witted (is that a word?) and always adds humor to any mood or conversation.....trust me on this one. People just really, really like her...a lot!

3. Greatest mom in the world obviously translates to greatest Grandma in the world. My kids are fortunate enough to be the only grandkids and they are spoiled like grandkids are going out of style. She consumes most of her free weekends to having one on one sleepovers with them. This is a big bonus for us because one less kid every weekend makes all the difference in the world-and yes I do love my children more than life itself.

4. She does and would do anything for her children. Even if it requires up and moving her family to another state one day just to help the salvation of her oldest daughter. Just one example.

5. She's always been an example in the gospel, marriage, mothering, friendship, etc. She is just a good person with a good heart. She does so much service.

Hope you have a wonderful BIRTHDAY and many, many more to come...I LOVE YOU MOM!

I LOVE MARCH!

No doubt the fall months are my absolute favorite, but I also LOVE MARCH! March is the month I most anticipate after a long cold winter. Of course we always seem to have a few snow days here and there during March. But I love March and the evidence it brings that Spring is coming! I remember when I was little I used to love to look at the calendar every March to see if the first day of Spring fell on my birthday, March 21st. I'm sure I remember it happening more often than it really did. Again, I looked this year and it falls on March 20th, darn it! The other reason I love March is because so many people I LOVE have birthday's in March. March is such a HUGE birthday month. I bet I could think of someone I know that has a birthday that falls on every day from the 1st through the 31st. And just maybe we'll be adding another "birth" day to the month of March this year. So if your birthday happens to fall in March, then Happy Birthday... and if not, well Happy Spring!

Tonight is our Ward's Annual Relief Society Birthday Bash! Of course we are having cupcakes and ice cream to celebrate! Here is the recipe for the cupcakes I am making and they are yummy! If you like lemon then you'll want to try these sometime! I usually end up just using a lemon cake mix when I am in a hurray! I also refrigerate the frosting for a couple hours before I frost the cooled cupcakes. I store my cupcakes in the refrigerator when finished, they are better cold!

What You Need!
1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup water
4 egg whites
2 Tbsp. oil
1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Make It!
HEAT oven to 350ºF. Beat cake mix, pudding mix, water, egg whites and oil in large bowl with mixer on low speed until moistened. (Batter will be thick.) Beat on medium speed 2 min. Spoon batter evenly into 24 paper-lined 2-1/2-inch muffin cups.
BAKE 21 to 24 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.
MEANWHILE, beat sugar, cream cheese, butter and juice with mixer on low speed until well blended. Frost cupcakes.

Life is yummy!
