BiRTHDAY BoYS!

I made the mistake of waking Crew up early before the kids went to school so that him and Stockton could open a couple of presents and their birthday buckets. He was a little on the grumpy side until he opened his drill.
Crew has had an obsession with tools and drills for the last few months which is from all the work we've been doing on the house. Now he has his own drill that he can fix things with and not scratch my newly painted walls! It's so cute watching him change the drill bits out!

Stockton got Legos! I seriously hate legos and always have but that's what the boy wanted. The million tiny pieces drive me bonkers and they are so expensive!

For Stockton's birthday he wanted to take a couple of friends to go see "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid!" So Curtis got off work early and took him and two of his friends to the movie. Then he took him and bought him some cool new basketball shoes that he needed for his first basketball game the next day.

Crew LOVES to go watch his brothers play basketball.
We celebrated with family, cake and ice cream the day after their birthday! Here is Crew's cake that Grandma made. He is obsessed with ruff ruff's!
Stockton's cake.... made by Grandma as well!

Happy 9th!
My cute (and dirty faced) birthday boys! Oh I love them oh so much!
Where does the time go....serioulsy? Their birthday was pretty low key this year because things have been crazy, stressful, and busy the last few weeks....more to come on that soon!

Two little friends.

Yesterday these two little visitors showed up to our surprise. They were fed until they were about to pop, which I assume is why they returned again today! I'm not sure what it is about these creatures but I sure love ducks. I think it's just their cute little innocent bodies waddling around, so toddler like. I mean really, what kind of mischief can a duck get into? At least not any mischief compared to what my dogs did a couple of days ago. I'll give you two hints: 1. pigeon coop 2. hungry dogs (need I say more?) Anyways, back to the adorable ducks. Crew had so much fun feeding and watching them that he even decided to add the word duck to his very small vocabulary, which was so exciting for the rest of us.
We had two little ducks come every day for several months a few years ago that continued for a couple of years in a row until one year they never returned. My kids thought it was so funny that they would come day after day and year after year. There would be days that the two ducks would be sitting on my doorstep waiting for their food. My kids are determined that these are the same two ducks that used to come.
Crew kept looking out the window today to see if they were out there. I had a feeling they would show up sometime and sure enough. Again we fed them until they were about to pop. And then they went on their merry way until tomorrow I assume.
I think we need to name them. See you tomorrow little friends.
