Gettin' my craft on...

I've been feeling a little urge to be crafty lately....thanks to Pinterest! Yes, if you haven't been sucked in yet then consider yourself lucky. Don't be curious to see what all the rave is about this online pinboard. You won't know what your missing and that is a good thing. And if you do well then don't blame me for all the things that get neglected because you too were curious.
Anyways, here is my LOVE mantel!

The felt heart is the fun thing I made that I saw on Pinterest. It's easy and best part...CHEAP!

Next up was not from Pinterest but just a fun project with cute little robots to add some color to Crew's room.
This took F.O.R.E.V.E.R and although I had everything at the time if you were to buy the stuff it would not be cheap whatsoever.

Thanks for looking!

A very special day tomorrow...

Yes, very special indeed. My baby girl, my only baby girl, is getting baptized tomorrow afternoon.
She is beautiful in every single way but especially in her beautiful baptism dress.

She can just stop growing up now. The end.

Emma's new room...

I know I have been promising pictures but I have been crazy busy and I just keep putting it off! It will happen eventually. Anyways, I made this cute little bunting banner for Emma's room and I loved how it turned out and thought it was blog worthy so I took some photos to share. Enjoy!
It was super easy and fun to make!

I have a few ideas that I want to do for her room but I haven't put those ideas into action yet. Maybe after the holidays. She has a fun room and as you can see she has big vaulted ceilings which I love!
She has a huge window with a trans window above so she has such pretty natural light always shinning in! Hope you all are enjoying the holidays!

So much to be thankful for...

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I have been such a slacker here on the blog. I need more hours in the day! Anyways, I have so much to be thankful for in my life. I am so blessed and have such a wonderful life I often sit and wonder what I did to even deserve the life that I do have. Stockton came home from school on Tuesday and told me that if he made a list of 100 things he was thankful for then he would get an extra 20 school bucks in class the next day. So he immediately sat down and wrote out a hundred things and was done in 15 minutes. He stood up and said "Wow, that was easy, there are so many things to be thankful for!" What a great attitude! So I thought I would record my top list ( in no particular order) of things that I am most thankful for!

my Savior
the gospel
my new home
my husband
my children
my parents
my grandparents
the health of me and my family
my husbands job
health insurance
computer/internet
my vacuum(s) lol!
pepsi
my big bathtub
my camera
mousetraps
food
target
my car

my dishwasher

....and so many more but I won't bore you to death!
I know that I have not posted pics of the new house yet but I assure you that they will come with a little more time. For now I will leave you with a picture of the cutest curtains that you ever did see! A HUGE GINORMOUS thanks to my mom who made these for me and spent hours and hours making them. I am in love and could stare at them all day, they make me so happy!

Home Sweet Home.

Yes we are finally in! So happy! We moved in a couple of weeks ago and it's been non-stop ever since. As I am sitting here typing this I have brick layers working in my yard on pillars and a mailbox, I have finish guys doing the finish work in basement, and sprinkler guys digging the trenches in my front and back yard. Fun stuff! Our entire garage is filled to the brim with boxes and furniture that needs to be brought in the basement which will be done next weekend! As soon as everything is put together I will post some pictures....promise!

Cute baby gift idea!

I saw this on the internet and I had to make it for a friend/neighbor having a baby. This is such an easy, inexpensive, and cute gift idea. So I thought I'd share! All you need to do is buy a towel or blanket. I could not find a baby blanket that would work so I bought a towel for $3.50 at Target. I bought the diapers on sale and used a $3.00 off coupon which made the diapers $5.00 for a size 1, 50 count pack.

I folded the towel in half and then in half again (lengthwise). I opened up each individual diaper and rolled it up and secured the roll with those teeny tiny hair elastics that I buy and use for Emma's hair. You can buy those anywhere, even the dollar store. Then I just stacked the diapers into a pyramid and then pulled up the sides of the towel and secured the sides together with a larger elastic and then tied with ribbons.

I think I used 28 diapers but you could try and use 25 which would give you enough to create two gifts.

I just googled the stork pattern and found one that was similar to the one I saw online (Pinterest). Printed it off, cut it apart into a pattern. Traced it onto the pattern paper and cardstock. Glued everything together. Really easy peasy!

I didn't even have a real googly eye so I just cut it out of the colored copy I printed off. His beak and legs are not pink like they look in the photo, they are salmon!
