One of those days...

Do you ever have one of those days that just turns out overall.....crummy? Well, that was today. Kids fighting non-stop. Kids acting bad at church. Dinner turned out gross after spending much time on it. House is a disaster which always seems to make my mood much worse.

Yeah, I have a poor attitude and I cannot wait for this day to be yesterday! I have been so disappointed in my kids today. They have seriously been fighting all day long. I am so tired of the way they have been treating eachother. It makes me feel like I am failing at my job. Failing terribly.  I want to lock them in this house until they can learn to get along and show some respect and love for one another. It is going to be a long week for a couple of them that have no friend privilages this week. Maybe even a longer week for me I should say. Geez!

So we decided to go to the park late this afternoon with Aunt Michelle, Yousef  and Ammon. Boy the skies were blue but the air was cold.
I thought it would be a good idea to get out and run around on the grass, kick the soccer ball around and breath some fresh air. I was wrong. The fighting started the minute we got out of the truck. Sad! We only ended up staying an hour before Crew and Emma were too cold.

(this is what happens when you don't obey your mother and smile for the camera)
Don't let these photos fool you. The happy moments were far and few during our hour stay. There was always someone with tears or unkind words. I'll be honest, it wasn't pretty. But at the end of the day we are still a family and we all need to step back and re-evaluate our actions and make changes to be better because tomorrow is a new day. Thanks goodness for that.

p.s. my poor little Crew was drinking his bottle when we got home and looking out the window (he loves to do this) and there was a big yellow jacket in the window seal. Crew grabbed it with his chubby little fist and got stung. Poor guy! I had to pull out the very tip of the stinger that was still in his hand and he ended up crying himself to sleep in daddy's arms.
Goodnight friends!

Perfect day.....

for a slurpee!
The weather has been so wonderful the last several days. We have been lovin' every second of it.
Today was just a perfect day to stop for a slurpee on the way home from school. Little Crew doesn't want anything to do with being indoors. Saturday was spent outside almost the entire day for him. When he wasn't bouncing around from one sporting event to the next (two soccer games and one basketball game), he was following his daddy around the yard. Today I took him inside because the kids were playing around with their squirt guns and he stood by the door and cried his little heart out. I finally just stuck him out there and he played around too with the water. Days like today make me very anxious for summer!

A very special day!

Stockton Russell Timothy is officially a new member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints.
He was baptized this morning by his dad! We are so proud of his decision. He has always been such a good boy and I hope he continues to choose the right. Sometimes I think he gets pushed aside being the middle child and might not get the same amount of attention at times but we sure do love him more than anything. I am so very grateful that he is a member of our family and now the true church. He is a great example to me and teaches me so much. He is a great helper and always willing to help. He is such a smart boy and loves learning.

One funny little thing that happened today that I want to remember: Last night I ran to the store to buy him some white underwear after discovering that he only had colored. This morning I told him to put the white ones on. Right as we were getting in the car to go to the baptism, Curtis asked me if I had remembered to pack Stockton an extra pair to put on after the baptism. I had not. So I told Stockton to hurray and run in the house and go get a new pair of underwear. Well what we later found out was that Stockton ran back into the house and changed his underwear and put on a new pair...colored ones. LOL! He was a little confused I guess. He wasn't quite sure why I wanted him to get a new pair of underwear, he's just an obedient boy!

After the baptism my mom hosted a lunch at her house (thanks, mom.) Lots of good food but this yummy goodness was gone before lunch:
(Made by my Aunt Laurie! Thanks Laurie!)

Stockton was so surprised to find that you get showered with presents on your baptism day! He even got his own set of scriptures from Grandma Bowden.

Thanks to all my family for coming and supporting us and Stockton. I really have the most amazing family. I love everyone in mine and Curtis' family so very much. We are so blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people and I am so thankful. Thanks for loving us and always supporting us.
