{Minimomma}

She's the only reason I was able to take a shower yesterday and get a few loads of laundry in! She really knows how to take care of this little guy.

Snapshots of a good time!

Just got back from Zion National Park.
Went to my Grandma and Grandpa Bowden's cabin.
Had a fabulous time.
Did a lot of 4-wheelin'.
Played TONS of games.
Ate lots of good food.
Went swimming.
Shot BB Guns.
Caught lizards.
Played in the rain.
Stayed up late.
Watched old movies.
Consumed too much sugar.

These two cuties made salad everyday. Here is their recipe:
Various leaves
Rocks
Dirt
Water
Bugs (Optional)

We were always pooped at the end of the day! Good times! Great Memorial Day weekend!

what we've been up to the last month....

Strep Throat. Went through a slew of pink medicine here in the Timothy household to treat six out of seven sickies....the joy! Strep throat has been flying around this neighborhood faster than those stupid dandelion's that keep popping up in my yard. I can't remember the last time I have felt so sick. Oh the pain, the earache, the fever, the body aches, the swollen throat....please don't EVER visit again! Especially during a time in a girl's life when she is lacking sleep, energy and her hormones are out of whack!

Doctor Visits. Or should I say endless Dr. visits. I ended up at Urgent Care. Took 3 kids the next day to the pediatrician. Curtis took himself and 2 kids to Urgent Care the next day after that. Took baby to pediatrician for some meds for reflux. Took baby back for meds for stomach problems/colic. Took baby back for hernia I discovered one night during bath time. Took one more kid back to Urgent Care. Those co pays can really add up. Atleast me and my pediatrician are now BFF's!
Dance Recital. Fun, cute.....glad it's over! Highlight of the show: Emma's tap shoe flying off while kicking up her foot and of course not knowing where she was supposed to stand. But hey, she looked cute....that's what really matters!

Got a new ride! SOLD this Acura MDX:

...and bought this Nissan Armada:

I LOVED my MDX so much! It was such a fun zippy SUV and such a perfect size but not the perfect size for my family! I was sad to sell it but this will be much more accommodating. The MDX did have seven seat belts but the third row was tiny and my older kids could barely fit back there anymore. I will be having myself a TEENAGER this year and we decided since everyone is growing so big so fast we better upgrade in vehicle size. This has eight seat belts and MUCH more room for everyone. Plus, this can pull our 4wheel trailer.

Said goodbye's. Licorice our Black Lab has a new loving home in Texas. Long story, but she is happy with her new owners that spoil and love her to death. We loved her to death too. She was literally the smartest darn dog you will ever come across. She is certainly missed. We keep in close touch with her new owners. The morning she was picked up I couldn't even go outside because I new it would be too emotional even for me who pretty much dislikes animals all together. This is the kids saying goodbye. She was picked up right before they left for school.

And of course our days are filled with lovin' on this cute little guy. He is still such a big novelty around this place and I have a feeling it's not going to die down anytime soon since he just gets cuter and cuter! We sure love him!

Diapering 101 - Take ONE!

Disclaimer #1: No babies were harmed during the making of this clip....PROMISE!

Disclaimer #2: If POOP makes you ill (cause it totally doesn't make me ill at all! LOL!) then I would suggest not viewing this clip.

Disclaimer #3: Viewer discretion advised, little boy parts are shown during this clip and I'm not just talking cute little baby bums!

This diapering task will be perfected over the next couple of weeks by Emma, I am quite sure of it. It will make my load a little lighter! Not sure what I'll train her to do next....maybe his bathtime. Soon she'll be able to hold down the fort for atleast a couple of hours....just enough time for me to go get a pedicure and lunch! I can't wait. I'm so thrilled she LOVES this mom business!

P.S. After personally viewing this clip, I have decided that next on the teaching agenda should definately be fixing her own hair.

Life is great!

Blessed beyond measure.

Don't you just savor that feeling/moment when you feel so much love for someone that you literally feel as though your heart is going to explode? Even that same amazing feeling that makes you feel ill or scared because you never imagined that you were capable of loving someone so much? I have been blessed beyond measure. I have been blessed enough to have experienced this SIX times in my life, just two short weeks ago being the most recent.

Giving birth is the most priceless and precious gift I could ever have been given. I am eternally thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with this opportunity. Being able to physically bring one of Heavenly Father's children into this world is the most powerful experience that can strengthen your testimony and faith. The miracle of birth is true and perfect proof there really is a God. I am so grateful.

Newborns do magical things to your heart. It still amazes me how such a tiny little person whom you know nothing about can instantly cause you to have unconditional love for them. They instantly have you wrapped around their finger. They make you forget what life was like before they even existed. They make you realize your heart is much bigger than you imagined. Just when you think your heart couldn't possibly hold more love for another being, it magically grows larger. My heart is full of love it's busting at the seams.

And of course every time I look at my 5 little people it makes me love my husband even more than chocolate covered cinnamon bears. LOL! He is the greatest and I am so grateful for him and the most perfect family which resulted from a little hanky panky over the years! I wouldn't have these 5 beautiful people in my life if it weren't for him and that just makes him #1 in my book of life. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my baby-makin' partner! He rocks my world!

Life is a miracle!

There's no place like home!

Welcome home Crew...again! Me and my little buddy Crew just got home from Primary Children's Hospital yesterday. He ended up there last Friday because of a pretty bad case of RSV. It just breaks your heart to see someone so little and new (only 9 days old at the time) suffer and be in pain. It was a VERY long weekend to say the least. He did end up being released, however, he is hooked up to oxygen and a heart monitor here at home. I suppose he was bound to end up with this dreadful sickness considering that Curtis was extremely sick at the time he was born and all the kids at home-even my doctor was sick when Crew was delivered. I keep thinking to myself "if only he had been born a week later!"

Anyways, I am so grateful for Primary Children's Hospital. The nurses and doctors there are really amazing. They are very cautious and proactive. I remember feeling this same way when Emma was 5 weeks old with RSV at Primary Children's Hospital. I feel very blessed to live near this great place and have them as a medical resource. They are caring and compassionate.

This is us. Yes, I looked tired and haggard...because I was. It is physically and emotionally exhausting. You sit there and watch everyone else take care of your baby and you feel helpless. The only thing I was able to do to comfort him was feed him once he started eating again. The sleepless nights feel like weeks. Most all the rooms there are shared. So Crew shared a room with another little baby with RSV. So not only are you listening to your baby cry and be attended to but TWO babies.

Well, I'm not trying to have a pitty party for myself (ok, maybe a little) just feels good to vent sometimes. I am very grateful to be home and to have Crew hopefully on the mend. Keeping my fingers crossed that Spring will bring some warm weather that will give all of our immune systems some health and strength.

Life is challenging!

forgot to mention....

that this little guy Crew decided to make his grand appearance into this world on his big brother Stockton's birthday! WOW, what are the odds? From the time my water broke and getting to the hospital, I had about an hour and a half to try and beat those odds, but it just wasn't enough time! I think Crew just wanted to be a birthday present for his brother!
Life is a surprise!
