what we've been up to the last month....

Got a new ride! SOLD this Acura MDX:

...and bought this Nissan Armada:
I LOVED my MDX so much! It was such a fun zippy SUV and such a perfect size but not the perfect size for my family! I was sad to sell it but this will be much more accommodating. The MDX did have seven seat belts but the third row was tiny and my older kids could barely fit back there anymore. I will be having myself a TEENAGER this year and we decided since everyone is growing so big so fast we better upgrade in vehicle size. This has eight seat belts and MUCH more room for everyone. Plus, this can pull our 4wheel trailer.
Said goodbye's. Licorice our Black Lab has a new loving home in Texas. Long story, but she is happy with her new owners that spoil and love her to death. We loved her to death too. She was literally the smartest darn dog you will ever come across. She is certainly missed. We keep in close touch with her new owners. The morning she was picked up I couldn't even go outside because I new it would be too emotional even for me who pretty much dislikes animals all together. This is the kids saying goodbye. She was picked up right before they left for school.
And of course our days are filled with lovin' on this cute little guy. He is still such a big novelty around this place and I have a feeling it's not going to die down anytime soon since he just gets cuter and cuter! We sure love him!

Life is busy!

Diapering 101 - Take ONE!
Disclaimer #1: No babies were harmed during the making of this clip....PROMISE!
Disclaimer #2: If POOP makes you ill (cause it totally doesn't make me ill at all! LOL!) then I would suggest not viewing this clip.
Disclaimer #3: Viewer discretion advised, little boy parts are shown during this clip and I'm not just talking cute little baby bums!
This diapering task will be perfected over the next couple of weeks by Emma, I am quite sure of it. It will make my load a little lighter! Not sure what I'll train her to do next....maybe his bathtime. Soon she'll be able to hold down the fort for atleast a couple of hours....just enough time for me to go get a pedicure and lunch! I can't wait. I'm so thrilled she LOVES this mom business!
P.S. After personally viewing this clip, I have decided that next on the teaching agenda should definately be fixing her own hair.
Life is great!

Blessed beyond measure.
Giving birth is the most priceless and precious gift I could ever have been given. I am eternally thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with this opportunity. Being able to physically bring one of Heavenly Father's children into this world is the most powerful experience that can strengthen your testimony and faith. The miracle of birth is true and perfect proof there really is a God. I am so grateful.
Newborns do magical things to your heart. It still amazes me how such a tiny little person whom you know nothing about can instantly cause you to have unconditional love for them. They instantly have you wrapped around their finger. They make you forget what life was like before they even existed. They make you realize your heart is much bigger than you imagined. Just when you think your heart couldn't possibly hold more love for another being, it magically grows larger. My heart is full of love it's busting at the seams.
And of course every time I look at my 5 little people it makes me love my husband even more than chocolate covered cinnamon bears. LOL! He is the greatest and I am so grateful for him and the most perfect family which resulted from a little hanky panky over the years! I wouldn't have these 5 beautiful people in my life if it weren't for him and that just makes him #1 in my book of life. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my baby-makin' partner! He rocks my world!
Life is a miracle!

There's no place like home!

This is us. Yes, I looked tired and haggard...because I was. It is physically and emotionally exhausting. You sit there and watch everyone else take care of your baby and you feel helpless. The only thing I was able to do to comfort him was feed him once he started eating again. The sleepless nights feel like weeks. Most all the rooms there are shared. So Crew shared a room with another little baby with RSV. So not only are you listening to your baby cry and be attended to but TWO babies.

Well, I'm not trying to have a pitty party for myself (ok, maybe a little) just feels good to vent sometimes. I am very grateful to be home and to have Crew hopefully on the mend. Keeping my fingers crossed that Spring will bring some warm weather that will give all of our immune systems some health and strength.

Life is challenging!
